A disarmed population is more easy enslaved.
Your Constitutional right to bear arms and defend yourself is no longer guaranteed.  Once a disaster or martial law is declared, your own military or police will forcefully enter your home, take your weapons, and arrest you or kill you if you do not cooperate.  Take a look at what happened during the 2005 Hurricane Katrina disasters in New Orleans:

When a disaster strikes, it gives the government an excuse to deny us our constitutional rights.  Once you understand this, then you know the motive behind the events that have been staged or that the government had prior knowledge of these events.
